YEAR 3H - Ms Hepple 2020 - 2021
This half term we will be asking the question:
Does the Mediterranean need an Iron Man?
As Geographers we will use atlases and maps to locate contrasting localities in The Mediterranean .
As Scientists we will investigate the importance of Forces and Magnets .
As Designers we will designs using drawing skills.
As Mathematicians we will use our understanding of measures to look at time and fractions.
Skills As skilful people we will read and discuss The Iron Man. We will then create our own information texts.
Technology As technical people we will learn how to design, program and debug simple games and create PowerPoints.
Aspirations As learners with high aspirations we will strive to make a difference like Helen Sharman the first woman astronaut from Britain.
Respect As respectful learners we will have mutual respect and tolerance for different faiths when researching the Passover and Easter.
Places you could visit: Manchester Museum . Eureka museum, local libraries, theatres
Please bring your reading book to school every day.
Spelling tests are on Fridays.
Homework is set half-termly .
We will also test times tables so encourage your child to practise as much as possible.
