Autumn 1 2020

Our question this half term is:

Could you stick it in the Stone Age?

As Artists we will be looking at cave paintings and make our own cave inspired art work.

As Scientists, we will look at why teeth are important and carry out experiments to find out how teeth decay. We will discover how the digestive system works.

As Historians, we will research how time in Britain changed from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.

Skills As skilful people we will read ‘Stone Age Boy’  and innovate our own versions of the text. We will also create newspaper reports about the Stone Age.

Technology As technical people we focus on the importance of ESafety. We will then begin to finesse our general computing skills.

Aspirations As learners with high aspirations we will understand about how the world we live in has changed over time. We will set high aspirations for the rest of the upcoming year with our class charter.

Respect As respectful learners we will find out and show respect towards people from the past and how they lived their lives.

The British Value we will be focusing on this half term will be: Mutual Respect and Tolerance

We will also be focusing on Article 27 (adequate standard of living) from 'UNICEF Children's Rights'
