Children can now come to school in their PE kit on their PE day.our PE day this half term is:
Tuesday
The PE kit is either plain blue or black jogging pants / leggings, a plain white t-shirt and their school jumper or cardigan. Where possible, we are asking if the children could wear black trainers.
This half term we also have outdoor learning/ forest school on a Wednesday morning. Children should come to school on a Wednesday in out door learning clothes with their uniform in a bag.
Please encourage your child to practice their spellings and times tables at home as we will have spelling and times tables practice weekly on a Friday.
Please ensure that your child is bringing their reading book and water bottle every day.
Our topic this half term is Mountains, Volcanoes and Earthquakes

As a Historian, I can:
Identify where a period of history fits on a time line.
Understand how our knowledge of the past is constructed through a range of sources.
As a Geographer, I can:
Use an atlas to locate countries.
Use the 8 points of a compass.
Use 4 & 6 digit grid references.
Describe key aspects of Mountains, Volcanoes and Earthquakes.
Understand key aspects of land use, economic activity and the distribution of natural resources including energy.
Using symbols and a key to read maps including ordnance survey.
As a Scientist, I can:
Identify and name the main parts of the human circulatory system.
As an Artist / Designer, I can:
Generate, develop, model and communicate thier ideas through discussion and annotated sketches.
Select from and use a wider range of materials and components, including contstruction materials, textiles and ingredients according to their functional properties and aesthetic qualities.
Evaluate their ideas and products against their own design criteria and consider the views of others to improve thier work.
The British value we will be focusing on is Mutual Respect.
As a Rights & Respecting school we will be looking at article 30 - "All children have the right to learn and use the language, customs and religion of their family even if they are not the majority."

THROUGH NEARLY 60 YEARS OF GROUNDBREAKING WORK, DR. JANE GOODALL HAS NOT ONLY SHOWN US THE URGENT NEED TO PROTECT CHIMPANZEES FROM EXTINCTION; SHE HAS ALSO REDEFINED SPECIES CONSERVATION TO INCLUDE THE NEEDS OF LOCAL PEOPLE AND THE ENVIRONMENT. TODAY SHE TRAVELS THE WORLD, SPEAKING ABOUT THE THREATS FACING CHIMPANZEES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CRISES, URGING EACH OF US TO TAKE ACTION ON BEHALF OF ALL LIVING THINGS AND PLANET WE SHARE.
