Experiences at Crosslee
At Crosslee our aim is to provide our pupils and staff with a range of vaulable experiences from our Early Years to Year 6. We believe that these experiences enhance our pupil's aspirations and they enable pupils and staff to explore the community/world around them. This page will give parents and future pupils a taste of life at Crosslee.
After School Clubs
We held a computing coding club for our junior pupils and they created amazing vehicles, which could move. They used their coding skills to direct the model and set time constraints for each movement. Pupils are preparing for a job of the future in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Volleyball - Year 3 and 4
We have been training with a professional coach to learn the skills required for Volleyball. The coach has played for the England volleyball team so knows the game really well. Ask us about digging and how to catch a ball without making a sound!
If you are interested in playing or watching Volleyball, check out www.volleyballengland.org or the 'Manchester Marvels'.
Thank you to our Sports Ambassadors from Year 6 who are inspiring younger children with their skills and commitment to sport by attending the club too.
Year 5 and 6 children have been training each week with a coach to develop their football skills. The children would like to improve the way they play as a team so they can enter more tournaments.
Cheerleading - Lunchtime Club
The pom poms are out! Children have been blending dance and gymnastics each week in our cheerleading sessions. Come along if you are in Year 4 and 5 every Wednesday lunchtime.
A big thank you to our year 6 Sports Ambassadors this half term who are coaching the younger children at lunchtimes. The children support the professional sports coach to teach the KS1 children new skills and help them play together in the team games. It is great to have so many role models in sport here at Crosslee. Well done to you all!
