Equal Opportunities
It is school policy that all children, parents and staff and visitors should be treated equally regardless of gender, transgender, sexuality, age, maternity and paternity, marriage and civil union, race, religion, nationality, social background or disability.
In our school, we aim to create a caring atmosphere where each individual is respected and valued and where children have the same educational and social opportunities. By fostering respect and understanding of various cultures, racial and religious groups, we prepare children to live in Britain’s multi-cultural society.
Therefore we do not tolerate:
- words or actions which upset an individual or group to make them feel left out, inferior or victimised
- words or actions which are offensive to other races, religions, cultures, people of a different gender or with a disability
All racist incidents are reported to the Governors termly and the LA annually.
Please see our Equality Policy for more information.
