Class Council Meetings

  • Every class holds a Class Council session once every half term.

  • These sessions give all pupils the chance to share ideas, raise concerns, and suggest improvements.

  • KS1 pupils also take part in Class Council so every child’s voice is heard across the school.

    Gathering Student Voice

  • Class representatives collect feedback and key discussion points from their peers.

  • This ensures every pupil has a voice and can contribute to positive change within the school.

Sharing Ideas and Taking Action

  • Student Council members meet with Miss Condliffe to present the ideas gathered from Class Council.

  • Teachers can pass messages or proposals to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) for further consideration.

  • Once decisions are made, changes are implemented and the impact is reviewed to ensure improvements are effective.

Examples of Student Council Contributions

Student Council members have already taken part in a range of activities, including:

  • Supporting the Christmas Fair

  • Helping with the Harvest Festival

  • Raising money for charity

  • Reading to EYFS pupils

  • Contributing to whole‑school events and community projects
